Ar-Razzaq — The Abundant Provider: الرَّزَّاقُ
Meaning
Provision in intensive, continual form — 51:58: "Indeed Allah is the Provider, Possessor of strength, the Firm." Rizq covers the material and the spiritual; the intensity of the form answers anxiety about tomorrow’s share.
Textual references
- Qur’an 51:58
The 99-names hadith itself (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736; Sahih Muslim 2677) does not enumerate the names; the enumeration order follows the Tirmidhi listing, whose chain scholars grade as weak for the list itself.
Reflection
Means are commanded; anxiety about the outcome is answered by this name.
A personal contemplation aid — not doctrine and not a promised outcome.
