Introduction

Ibadah Path is a free website of Islamic tools and reference pages: prayer times, Qibla direction, a Tasbih counter, a Zakat calculator, the Islamic calendar, Adhkar, Daily Duas, and the 99 Names of Allah. This policy explains what information the site processes, where that processing happens, and the choices available to you.

It describes the site as it is actually built rather than a generic template. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no payment flows, and the features described below are the only ones that handle information about you.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the pages served from ibadahpath.com and the tools built into them. It does not cover third-party websites that we link to, or the services that supply map tiles, geocoding, or fonts; those providers handle data under their own privacy policies, which are linked below.

Information the site processes

Ibadah Path collects nothing automatically for its own use: there is no analytics script, no advertising identifier, and no user profile. The only information involved when you use the site is the information needed to make a tool work:

  • Your location, if you allow it, so prayer times and the Qibla bearing can be calculated.
  • The city names you search for, so a place can be resolved to coordinates.
  • The amounts you type into the Zakat calculator, so a total can be calculated.
  • Your Tasbih count and history, if you use the counter.
  • The location preference you choose to save between visits.
  • Anything you choose to write in the contact form or email to us.

Location and geolocation

Prayer Times and Qibla use your browser's location permission, which is only requested when you ask for it and can be denied or revoked at any time in your browser settings. If you decline, you can still use both tools by searching for a city or entering coordinates.

Coordinates are used in your browser to run the calculations. Two features do involve an external request while you use them:

  • Reverse geocoding — to turn coordinates into a place name, the coordinates are sent to BigDataCloud's reverse-geocode service (privacy policy).
  • Map tiles — the Qibla map loads tiles from Stadia Maps (privacy policy), which receives the tile requests and any key in the request URL.

Those providers receive the coordinates or map area needed to answer the request. We do not operate a server that records your location, and we do not build a location history.

Calculations

Prayer times, the Qibla bearing, Zakat estimates, and Hijri calendar conversions are computed in your browser from a location and date that you supply. Nothing is transmitted in order to perform them, and nothing is stored on a server we operate.

Browser storage and preferences

Some tools remember your choices on your own device using localStorage. This data stays in your browser and is sent to no one; it is not readable by us. The keys in use are:

  • ibadah_saved_location, ibadah-path-location, ibadah-path-city — the location you chose to save between visits.
  • ibadahpath.tasbih.v1 — your current Tasbih count.
  • ibadahpath.tasbih.history.v1 — your recent Tasbih sessions, which you can clear from inside the tool.

You can remove all of it at any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser, and the Tasbih tool provides its own control for clearing its history.

Cookies and analytics

Ibadah Path sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking services. No session-storage keys are used. There is nothing to consent to beyond the location permission your browser already controls.

External services

Like any website, loading these pages involves requests to services outside our control. They receive ordinary technical information such as your IP address and the resource requested:

  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used across the site (privacy policy).
  • Open-Meteo geocoding — resolves the city name you type in Prayer Times (terms and policy).
  • BigDataCloud — reverse geocoding, as described above.
  • Stadia Maps — map tiles for the Qibla map, as described above.

These services are provided by third parties that apply their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control what they retain.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive the address you write from and whatever you include in the message. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of corrections we have made, and nothing else. This deployment has no message form configured, so contact happens by email only.

Please keep in mind that email is not an encrypted channel — do not send financial details, identity documents, or other sensitive personal information.

Server-side storage and hosting

Ibadah Path is a static website. It has no user database, no server-side accounts, and no stored user content. The hosting and content-delivery infrastructure that serves the site may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, timestamp, and requested URL) for security and operational purposes; those logs are handled by the hosting provider rather than by us.

Data retention

Preferences and counters live in your browser until you clear them. Email correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for answering your query or for keeping track of a correction, and is deleted when it is no longer needed.

Security and its limits

Because almost everything happens in your browser, there is very little for us to hold and protect. That is also the main limitation: we cannot secure the device you are using, and we cannot secure an email message once it leaves your mail provider. Treat the tools as convenient assistants rather than as a place to store sensitive records.

Your choices

  • Allow, deny, or revoke location permission at any time in your browser settings.
  • Clear site data to remove every preference stored by this website.
  • Use the Tasbih tool's own control to clear its saved history.
  • Write to us to ask what correspondence we still hold, or to ask us to delete it.

Children's privacy

Ibadah Path is a general-audience site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not require it from anyone. If a child sends us a message, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete it.

Changes to this policy

When the site changes in a way that affects privacy — a new external service, a new stored preference — this policy is revised and the date at the top of the page is updated to show the current version. The date reflects the last substantive revision, so an unchanged policy keeps the same date.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or about how a tool handles information, can be sent to editorial@ibadahpath.com or through the details on the Contact Us page.

This policy is a plain-language description of how the current implementation of Ibadah Path handles information. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed whenever the site's data practices change.
