An-Nur — The Light: النُّورُ
Meaning
Light of the heavens and the earth — 24:35, the Verse of Light with its parable of niche, lamp, and glass. He is light by which all is seen and guidance by which all is found; darkness is only His light’s absence.
Textual references
- Qur’an 24:35
The 99-names hadith itself (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736; Sahih Muslim 2677) does not enumerate the names; the enumeration order follows the Tirmidhi listing, whose chain scholars grade as weak for the list itself.
Reflection
Seek clarity from the Light before rearranging the furniture in the dark.
A personal contemplation aid — not doctrine and not a promised outcome.
Sources & methodology
- Qur’an 24:35
- Sahih al-Bukhari 2736 (the 99 names)
Verse citations were checked against the Qur’an text. Claims that could not be verified were omitted. No recitation counts, guaranteed effects, or per-name hadith benefits are asserted.
