Al-Qawiyy — The All-Strong: الْقَوِيُّ
Meaning
Strength untouched by fatigue — 22:40: "Allah is Strong, Mighty." Against Al-Matin (#54, firmness) and Al-Qadir (#69, capability): Qawiyy is power’s fullness; Matin, its unshakeability; Qadir, its freedom to enact.
Textual references
- Qur’an 22:40
The 99-names hadith itself (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736; Sahih Muslim 2677) does not enumerate the names; the enumeration order follows the Tirmidhi listing, whose chain scholars grade as weak for the list itself.
Reflection
Weakness confessed to Al-Qawiyy is stronger than strength claimed for oneself.
A personal contemplation aid — not doctrine and not a promised outcome.
