Al-Haqq — The Ultimate Truth: الْحَقُّ
Meaning
Reality itself, necessarily existing, making all else real — 22:6: "that is because Allah is the Truth." Falsehood is parasitic and passing; truth here is not a property among properties but Being itself.
Textual references
- Qur’an 22:6
The 99-names hadith itself (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736; Sahih Muslim 2677) does not enumerate the names; the enumeration order follows the Tirmidhi listing, whose chain scholars grade as weak for the list itself.
Reflection
Anchor convictions to what cannot pass; test everything else against it.
A personal contemplation aid — not doctrine and not a promised outcome.
Sources & methodology
- Qur’an 22:6
- Sahih al-Bukhari 2736 (the 99 names)
