Al-Bari’ — The Originator: الْبَارِئُ
Meaning
The One who originates creation free of precedent or model — middle of the 59:24 triad. Where Al-Khaliq stresses decreeing and measuring, Al-Bari stresses bringing forth distinctly, without prior example or flaw.
Textual references
- Qur’an 59:24
The 99-names hadith itself (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736; Sahih Muslim 2677) does not enumerate the names; the enumeration order follows the Tirmidhi listing, whose chain scholars grade as weak for the list itself.
Reflection
Originality in creation needs no mood board; imitation is a creaturely necessity.
A personal contemplation aid — not doctrine and not a promised outcome.
