Al-Hakim — The All-Wise: الْحَكِيمُ
Meaning
Wisdom placing all things with perfect propriety — among the most frequent closings in the Qur’an ("Mighty, Wise"; "Knowing, Wise," as in 2:32). Against Al-Hakam (#28, the Judge): Hakim is the wisdom behind the ruling, not only the verdict itself.
Textual references
- Qur’an 2:32
The 99-names hadith itself (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736; Sahih Muslim 2677) does not enumerate the names; the enumeration order follows the Tirmidhi listing, whose chain scholars grade as weak for the list itself.
Reflection
What looks misplaced to you is placed by Al-Hakim; ask for eyes before asking for rearrangement.
A personal contemplation aid — not doctrine and not a promised outcome.
